If you need support to remain independent in your home, Ellis House is the place to call. Dorothy and Guy Poole, owners/operators, will listen to what you need and want and tailor personalized support. My husband and I liked where we lived, but various ailments interfered with our lifestyle. Decreasing mobility and strength made everyday tasks painful and time-consuming, leaving little time to attend to obligations and, most importantly, R&R. We were nervous about having a stranger in our home. Dorothy and Guy came to our home and could see exactly where the obstacles were. We were still uncomfortable,  But…that wasn’t the end. The Pooles were in contact several times to check how the plan worked. We identified our priorities and,  with Dorothy and Guy’s help, were able to communicate our needs to our CNA. We now have someone make our beds, change the sheets, pick up around the place, and help with the laundry. Most of the time is spent cooking delicious meals. The Poole’s are sincere and care that you are satisfied and will occasionally call or come to see if the plan is still working. We are happy because Ellis House has given us peace of mind and a plan for remaining in our home.
